THE
QUIT STOP.

Calls wearing you out?
Ask unwanted callers to stop.

Unwanted calls. Unwanted texts. Enough already.

One last thing: tap Send in Messages.

Still calling? Block & report

Take it from here. You can use these steps without sending an opt-out first.

  1. Save the evidence

Screenshot your recent calls before deleting anything. Keep any messages or voicemails, and note when you asked them to stop.

For your report, have the caller’s number, any callback number, the dates and times, and your own number ready. If they called 30 times, say how often and over what period.

  2. Block on your iPhone

Open Phone → Recents. Open the caller’s details; in Classic view, tap the next to the call. Scroll down, tap Block Caller (or Block this Caller), and confirm if asked.

For a text: open the conversation in Messages, tap the contact at the top, then find Block Caller.

Blocked callers can still leave voicemail without a notification. A different number needs its own block.

    See Apple’s blocking guide ↗
  3. Make an official report

In the U.S.: open the FCC form below. Under Phone Issues, choose unwanted calls/texts, then all other unwanted calls/messages. Describe what happened, add the dates and numbers, and review your report before submitting.

Open the official FCC form ↗

You submit on the FCC’s website. The Quit Stop doesn’t submit or store your report. Complaints help enforcement; the FCC doesn’t resolve individual unwanted-call complaints.

For an unwanted sales call or robocall with no money lost, you can also report to the FTC at DoNotCall.gov. Lost money to a phone scam? Use ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
